This project, resembling a majestic "electricity dragon", originates from the Jindongnan (Changzhi) Substation at the foot of the towering Taihang Mountains in Shanxi, passes through the Nanyang Switching Station in the heart of the Central Plains in Henan, and finally terminates at the Jingmen Substation in the land of Jingchu in Hubei.Built as a single-circuit line, it stretches 654 kilometres, crossing the surging Yellow River and the rippling Han River with extraordinary grandeur. Boasting a substation capacity of 6,000 MVA, a system nominal voltage of 1,000 kV, and a maximum operating voltage of 1,100 kV, with a static investment of approximately 5.7 billion yuan, it stands as a project of immense scale that commands attention.

Through unremitting exploration and practice, China has successfully established a world-class UHV experimental research system and mastered UHV AC transmission engineering technologies with comprehensive independent intellectual property rights.
